Lately I’ve had a slight obsession with everything tropical and I always had the idea of a shoot in a urban but tropical environment. I was more than happy when the Photographer Lee (www.leegwapo.ch) and I decided to do a shoot like this.
We definitely had some struggles in finding the right location but we figured it all out in the end. I am very happy that we decided to go with the Old Botanical Garden in Zurich. It gives you many options and different scenes you can work with. go have a look yourself!
Makeup-wise I wanted to accentuate the difference in their looks. Obviously they are two completey different characters but I stil wanted to create someway a connection between the two through the power of makeup.
On Ramanda I decided to work with bright colors. I love working with models that are of a darker skin tone – it makes working wirth colors so much fun! We went for a green eye and some orange-red lips.

As a contrast I wanted to create something more fiery and extreme for Alanas look. I went for mostly oranges, yellows and reds. She has beautiful green eyes which pop even more with the color contrast of the redish colors.

I wanted the models to have simlar colors in each of their looks to create that connection between them. I really love how the photos turned out!
